I'm trying to join y'all over at ohnotheydidnt. I don't post here anymore but I'm active on  omonatheydidnt. I'm not a troll and I love hilarious bitchy commentary, so please approve me.

10:11 am - Hi journal!
A post to laugh at myself because ever since I got on tumblr years ago I haven't used this journal for anything but commenting on fic. Good times. Also, hai community mods, please let me join. (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)

07:36 pm - Book Meme
Snagged from anoncomment7

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4-7 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest (unless it's too troublesome to reach and is really heavy. Then go back to step 1).
6. Tag five people.

The nearest book was Bloodsucking Fiends by Christopher Moore, a book that Brad is reading. Page 123 is the end of a chapter, so it's too short but:

I missed you last night.

Leaving for Germany/Austria/Czech Republic in just over a week. Planning to revive my LJ as a travel log, as all my posts appear as notes on Facebook anyway. Expect a million pics (here and on FB) and videos uploaded to my hardly-used, little heard of YouTube account (link).

07:17 pm - O HAI EL JAYS
I am looking for video editing software. All this free time makes me feel like I should be doing something productive. Mind you, I have a list of at least 7 really broad categories of things I could be doing at this very moment (Funny People fic for Jennifer? Making my dress form? Painting my guns? Sorting my Trek fanmixes? Making an itinerary for Europe? Reading my Academy novel? Or God forbid, studying for my bio psych test tomorrow? :tumbleweed:) Instead I'm watching the Olympics and making even more flairs on Facebook.

And because kyokomurasaki reminded me, some Jungle!Boosh for your viewing pleasure:

02:10 am - Hi journal
Long time no post. Question to ponder: Why is there always one really boring and/or whiny vampire guy in any given vampire series? Ex: Louis, Angel, Bill, Stefan... I'm only mentioning Edward for completeness sake, even though he's the most boring of the bunch, and that's a feat considering how big of a creeper he is.

04:00 pm - A disproportionate number of good poems seem to be about death
On a website reading Rossetti's poem "Song":

When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.

I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.
